I too have a 33D,but without supersteer.Yes, the grill does catch a lot of grass,dirt,etc. but, at least it keeps it out of the radiator.You're right about the brakes,worthless with the hydro,but,i had a 1725 gear tractor before this one and i rarely used the brakes independent of one another so i wasn't to concerned about this.My tractor makes a lot of noises that i didn't have with the old tractor,most aggravating is the noise i have from either the gears or clutch housing(gear chatter).The noise hasn't affected operation of tractor,just annoying.I love my 33D too.Boy,does 4wd make a big difference in ability to get things done.I haven't taken my FEL off yet,kinda nervous about that,any pointers? First FEL too,don't see how i got by without one. I have 46 hours on mine now and will be doing 50 hour service this week,can't decide to do it myself or have dealer do it(have $200 credit at dealer that was part of purchase negotiations).I almost bought a JD 4300 but went with blue color due to dealer confidence.What remedies do you have?

I recently went through basically the same thing except it was between NH and JD. I was trading a NH 1725 for either the TC33D or JD 4300, ended up with the NH due to experience with dealer.Confidence in the dealer is a major factor.I love my NH with the exception of gear chatter,especially a low rpm's.I have 12 hours on it now and it has done everything i wanted it to do so far.The seat and ergonomics are great on the NH.But, it sure was a hard decision to make.Good Luck. I beleive it does have a common sump,and i will call dealer and ask about the field rep. I guess i have the only NH hydro that's making this noise.Thanks

Boy do i have the trees to burn! can't now due to burn ban,it's been over 100 degrees here for 27 straight days and no rain. Sorry to say but no loader here.
I will have to make due with the box blade to move trees around best i can.I'm concerned about all of the small "stick ups" and them causing flat tires, it's hard to avoid them all.Dozer guy didn't do a very good job,left a bunch of stumps too. He said the ground was to hard to push the stumps out???Also told my wife he didn't want to hurt his dozer!I'v been told to drag a 10 ft. piece of fence to smooth ground,any suggestions? I'm envious of the 33D.Almost traded mine for a TC29D with loader but funds were a little short.
